Reproduction of the sword of Rodrigo Dìaz, count of Bivar, Spanish leader, better known as El Cid Campeador or Mio Cid. Rodrigo was a Castilian nobleman, a warrior and a legendary figure of the Spanish Reconquista. He was lord of Valencia from 1094 until the year of his death.
