Bust of a man-at-arms, composed of chest and back to fully protect the trunk held together by coietti. Equipped with a brim with horizontal slats riveted directly onto the lower edge of the chest and side panels fastened to this with straps. In use in the second half of the 15th century for mounted fighters. The smooth surfaces and linear edges identify it as Italian-style, that is, made in the style of Lombard master gunsmiths.
Made of hand-crafted steel with leather straps to fasten the various components together.
