Draco Lucius Malfoy was a pure-blood wizard, son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. Being the son of a Death Eater subservient to Lord Voldemort, Draco grew up in an environment that had always been attracted to the dark side and with the precept that purity of blood was fundamental to the life of a wizard. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into Slytherin. During his studies at Hogwarts, he tried to become friends with Harry Potter, but his somewhat heroic attitude soon got on his nerves and sparked a certain rivalry between the two of them. This was how Draco became friends with Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, as well as many other Slytherins.
