The M3 machine gun from Denix is an inert reproduction made of metal, with load and fire simulator mechanism, removable magazine and retractable stock with double position.
The M3 was an automatic submachine gun designed in 1941 by George Hyde, a gunsmith with experience in the German Army during World War I and who emigrated to the United States in 1927. UU. The weapon was commissioned by the US military to observe the effectiveness of European submachine guns and avoid problems and production costs of Thompson models.
The M3 gained the sympathies of the soldiers and became popular as the "Grease Gun". This denomination derives from its resemblance to the pressure grease guns used by mechanics in the maintenance of heavy war machines. By the end of the war, around 600,000 units of the M3 had been produced.
