When Spyderco introduced the first Sprint Run Shaman, combining the traditional look of brown Micarta canvas scales and CPM CRU-WEAR blade steel, we were overwhelmed by the response. Later nicknamed “CruCarta,” this distinctive pairing of old-school, high-performance materials became an instant classic.
To ensure we could meet customer demand when we applied the “CruCarta” treatment to other models, we decided to make them complete products, not limited editions.
We started with the Para Military 2 and are now proud to add four more USA-made models to this elite family.
All feature fully skeletonized stainless steel liners, thin brown Micarta canvas scales, and CPM CRU-WEAR tool steel blades that offer an exceptional balance of edge retention and toughness.
The scales on all of these knives are ground smooth but left unpolished, so they will naturally patina with age and handling to develop their own unique character.
