Le Géant ... or Opinel n ° 13, is a giant knife model, highly appreciated during meals in the countryside, barbecues and very popular with collectors.

The Yatagan is Opinel's traditional blade. Its shape is inspired by a Turkish sword, with a raised tip. The blade is milled with an exclusive curved profile, which guarantees its robustness and allows effective re-sharpening.

Beech is the most used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. Coming from French crops, it is hard, resistant and easy to work with. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is recognizable by the presence of numerous dark dashes. The handle is painted to be effectively protected from dirt and moisture.
