14 TITANO POINT
The Sottili are knives with magnificent curves. The profile of the slim is slender and elegant.
The N° 10 is the multipurpose model. Its 10 cm blade ensures a clean and precise cut. The beech wood handle, in addition to being elegant, perfectly fits the shape of the hand, ensuring a comfortable and secure grip.
The knife is equipped with the double ring system to lock the blade in the open or closed position.
Blade material:
Hardness 55-57 HRC. European origin.
The stainless steel used in OPINEL blades is an optimized grade to ensure high resistance to corrosion and high mechanical performance.
The blade has an excellent cutting edge and high resistance to abrasion (wear) which allows it to withstand regular contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before needing to be re-sharpened. Unlike carbon steel, stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring maintenance under ordinary conditions of use. However, it can reach its limits when in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergents, etc.).
Handle:
Beech is the most used wood for manufacturing Opinel handles. Coming from French crops, it is hard, resistant and easy to work with. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is recognizable by the presence of numerous dark dashes. The handle is varnished to effectively protect it from dirt and moisture.
