When knifemaker Princeton Wong’s wine-loving friend asked if he could design a corkscrew pocket knife, Princeton, never one to shy away from a technical problem-solving challenge, couldn’t say no. The result was the Fion Custom, a mechanically elegant folding knife that concealed a corkscrew and a launcher inside the handle. It was Princeton’s first Blade Show entry and earned him the Best New Maker award. Now, the spirit of the Fion has been reborn in the Fial, which retains all of its innovations and features. Marvel at how the launcher aligns almost invisibly with the contours of the handle and easily cuts through cured meats with the generous drop-tip blade.
