Selvans is a survival knife born from the collaboration between Extrema Ratio and Daniele Dal Canto, AIGS guide (Associazione Italiana Guide Survival). Since its launch, Selvans has gained a lot of notoriety, gaining the appreciation of professionals and survival enthusiasts, thanks to its extraordinary versatility, robustness and reliability.
Selvans S600 Black is perfect for a wide range of outdoor tasks, such as cutting tough branches, working with shelter materials and other tasks that require a highly versatile and durable field knife. The black forprene handle ensures a secure and comfortable grip, even when used with wet hands or with work and winter gloves.

Böhler S600 steel (64 HRC) is used in industrial production for the manufacture of metalworking tools and in the production of molds.
The high content of molybdenum, tungsten and a good presence of vanadium in its chemical composition give the knife excellent qualities of hardness, wear resistance and toughness. The presence of cobalt favors the formation of small, uniformly distributed carbides, a feature that further improves wear resistance. Selvans S600 Black is tempered and cryogenically treated, reaching an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC, which gives it great wear resistance and the ability to maintain a sharp edge for a long time. Böhler S600 contains 4.5% chromium, which makes it an oxidizable steel. For this reason, Extrema Ratio has chosen the new EXP DARK coating for this knife.
