The 1000 grit sharpening stone consists of rather coarse abrasive fractions and a soft binding matrix.
This combination allows you to use the knife sharpening stone for preparatory work (removing traces of rough grinding, aligning the blade and cutting edge, pre-sharpening).
For ease of use during processing, the stone is placed on a non-slip rubber platform.
