Built on the same chassis as the TMC Film Pack, the new TMC Lightweight Defender 3 Film Pack 2.0 retains its original compact size favored by many, but now includes updated features. It has a completely open design that is internal with a full field of loops, setting the stage needed to add Film Pack accessories when needed, allowing the end user to build the pack around their mission or lifestyle. At its core, the new Film Pack 2.0 is still an assault pack that can go from a nearly flat profile when compressed to 600 cubic inches when fully expanded using a unique expandable gusset system. In its compressed state, the Film Pack 2.0 can run a 1-litre hydration bladder in the main compartment with additional small items such as batteries, energy gels and glow sticks stored in the dedicated admin chamber. Expanded, the main compartment can fit a fully loaded bib, helmet or jacket, while the admin can fit electronic devices and small binoculars. The Film Pack features a new chest strap to add stability and comfort under load. The Film Pack 2.0 integrates with a chest rig, replacing the H-harness with backpack straps, to create a light reconnaissance, patrol or worst-case scenario EDC rig. The Film Pack also fits any PALS-based nylon system, including plate carriers, assault vests, or other packs with external PALS webbing.
