Gearbox split CNC V2 designed for AR15 (M4), M16 and other airsoft replicas with V2 gearbox.
This gear is manufactured from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum (Dural) EN AW 7075 T651, which has a higher strength (590MPa), compared to common construction steel (390MPa).
Due to the material used, they have the best durability and resilience compared to common zinc-aluminum.
We are manufacturing these gearboxes on our precision CNC milling machines in our factory.
The detail (8 mm) indicates the diameter of the bushings / bearings.
Having a split gear has many advantages. For example, much easier installation of internal parts in the gearbox. When setting up your cylinder set, it is not necessary to remove the entire gearbox from the receiver, only the upper part can be disassembled, because it is mounted on a receiver pin.
This shifter can also be installed in AR15 (M4) receivers, which are not completely straight, with any AR15 (M4) Hop Up Assembly of your choice.
The recommended nozzle length is 21.4mm. Please note that the length of the nozzle can be affected by many factors, such as the angle of the threaded plate or the different length of the front of the Hop Up
In these scenarios, a different nozzle length will be required.

We have made some useful improvements to our V2 CNC split gearboxes:
The spring holders have grooves, so the springs for the threaded plate and the trigger switch will not pop out.
Groove added for safety lever, so that it remains during installation.
Added groove for trigger spring, for a better fit.
AOE check hole.
The bushings for bushings / bearings have a smaller diameter of approximately -0.02mm (7.98mm), so as not to overturn the bushings during installation. The edges of the socket are cut for better installation.
We have improved the wiring slots for 1mm, now you can use wire harnesses with a diameter of 2.5mm.
Added protection edge for the wiring against the motor.
All strands are now shaped rather than cut for better strength.
Both parts of the gearbox are centered by grooves and milled edges.
Added hole for the release of the anti-reverse stop.
For better durability,
we added more material around the cylinder head part of the shift, this was the most critical part and we added 100% more material where the radius is huge.
Added anti-reverse stop spring groove, so it doesn't pop out.
The outer edges are now trimmed.
You can find the type of gearbox sockets on the outside of the gearbox (8mm or 9mm).
The RetroArms gearbox has the QSC quick-change spring system, where you can pull out the entire spring guide with a hex wrench and change the spring without needing to open the gearbox. In this solution, it is necessary to fix the spring guide with a screw, commonly with the AR 15 (M4) replicas, it is by means of the stock screw. In situations where you have collapsible stock or no stock,
you need to fix the spring guide with the QSC screw. Otherwise there may be a situation where the spring guide will lock with the spring. This is because the spring guide is not fixed in the gearbox but is easy to remove with a hex wrench.
The trigger switch space is designed for compatibility with trigger switches,
trigger units from common manufacturers, for example: Gate, etc.
CNC V2 gearbox has protective anodizing, even when anodizing aluminum EN AW 7075 T651 (Dural) is problematic, due to its high strength and hardness. If we have not anodized the products of this material, there is a huge risk of corrosion (huge gray spots with a rotten appearance).
The CNC gearbox can only be installed in airsoft replicas with Tokyo Marui compatible standard. This also means the internal parts. Do not use rude force when installing. Use only 1 Nm tightening torque on the screws, otherwise the screws will tip over in the heads. It is not necessary to tighten the screws with sudden force,
if you want to make sure the screws sit perfectly, use thread glue or thread color.
You can use any spring of your choice in our CNC gearbox, but keep in mind that stronger springs will result in shorter service life.
!! do not use the MAXX head !!
The installation of the internal parts and the gearbox requires professional knowledge,
experience and skills. There are many airsoft manufacturers on the market and each of them create their own size, there are no standards like engineering ISO in airsoft. This is the main problem with many internal and external parts from different manufacturers which may be the same product, but with different dimensions.
We recommend that you only use parts from manufacturers with parts compatible with Tokyo Marui, where there shouldn't be a problem with compatibility with our CNC gearbox.
