GEARBOX WSG-82 GEN 3 CNC V2 MAW (MAW-80199)

the first CNC Ergal Gearbox, the first made in Italy: MAW WSG-82.
The design, study and tests for the realization have kept us very busy, but the result obtained repays all our efforts.
After the success of the first two generations, the evolution continues by creating gen. 3!
The alloy used for the MAW WSG-82 is ERGAL 6082, this alloy is made up of a large amount of manganese that controls the grain structure, making it stable, ultra-resistant and anti-corrosion. Furthermore, for this specific use it is superior to the excellent Ergal 7075 in terms of soundproofing of the internal mechanics, detecting 8 decibels less than all other CNC Gearboxes on the market with the same configuration and components.
The structure of the MAW WSG-82 is obviously machined from solid with a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and all the milling, holes and joints have impeccable tolerances.
The bushing seats are sized to ensure maximum smoothness even when using ball bearings.
The two sections of the Gearbox fit together perfectly and their coupling is further guaranteed by the eccentrics made for the locking screws.

The screws used are of the carbon steel hexagon socket countersunk head type which distribute the force radially and not axially.

The piston and ball pusher rod slide tracks are free from milling imperfections, perfectly flat and super smooth in contact with moving components.

The front screw seat is reduced to the bare minimum to ensure maximum compatibility with all hop up chambers (more space).

Using control software (resistance based on the project) we simulated the most important forces present inside the Gearboxes, detecting all the parts subject to greater stress which were consequently designed and sized for maximum resistance.

Many points have been “radius-shaped” avoiding sharp edges and corners which, under impact and/or repeated loading (ROF), can be sources of breakage or structural cracks, especially at low temperatures.

The 3 slots made above the piston guides (left side only in Gen.3) have a dual function: to monitor the pre-cocking function of the mosfet and to dissipate the heat generated by the sliding of the piston (custom high-speed or DSG).
The AOE (angle of engagement) is visible externally through a 6mm hole, and the inspection window for the coupling between the motor pinion and the bevel gear has also been enlarged.
In addition to the incredible resistance, we considered a further factor that is often overlooked: ease of assembly/closure.
In fact, there are some countersinks on the holes of the rear pin, central pin, upper anti-reversal hole and upper trigger hole to facilitate the self-centering of these pins in the delicate closing phase of the gearbox itself.
The housing of the electrical cables is secured by 2 screws (supplied) which prevent them from moving and/or coming out of the channels even when the gearbox is open!
On the front there are 2 M3 holes to house the screws to be shimmed for the correct left-right alignment with the hop up chamber. Also on the rear there are 2 M3 holes under the spring compartment for any elevation adjustment.
Externally (shutter side) we have milled a thin “line” that acts as a reference for the hop up adjustment ring.

Compatibility is guaranteed on Tokyo Marui standards, and with some simple modifications it also becomes compatible with the G2 versions of the G&G and V2 VFC with ambidextrous selector.
100% compatible Selector Plates: SHS (NB0019), Retroarms (6473), Modify (M4-M16).
We also recommend using the FPS push rod.
The current Gen.3 version, still prepared for the “Bolt Catch” release lever with VFC measurements (recommended set “VF9-BCH-M4-ZNO2”), presents the following variations compared to Gen. 2:
New “Tapered” upper part design for maximum compatibility with any type of shell/cocking lever.
Spring anchor for 2mm advanced push rod for use with single-stack magazines of over 200BB.
More space for Mosfet board accommodation now compatible with all brands.
Enlarged bevel gear control window for maximum visibility.
New trigger stop seat now compatible with any brand of trigger.
Remove the 3 right side precocking slots for additional soundproofing.

Last but not least, compatibility for universal QD type quick release spring guide (not included), recommended FPS/MAW spring guide code GMAW.
