Perun V2 Optical is a device that replaces the mechanical contacts in version 2 gearboxes with an electronic circuit based on MOSFET transistors and adds a multitude of new functions to the replica.
The elimination of mechanical contacts solves the problem of their gradual wear. The MOSFET transistors used in the Perun V2 have a much lower resistance than the contacts, which also increases the rate of fire. Small elements in the trigger mechanism responsible for semi-automatic fires often do not function properly, especially in replicas built on parts made by many different manufacturers. Perun V2 minimizes the number of moving parts in the replica, increasing reliability and ensuring the correct functioning of all shooting modes. Perun V2 itself has no moving parts thanks to the use of optical sensors for detecting gears, triggers and selectors.
The use of a microcontroller enhances the capabilities of your airsoft gun by providing the ability to independently set any combination of the following fire modes in the "SEMI" and "AUTO" selector positions:
safety
semi-automatic
Burst of 2 to 5 shots
fully automatic
Programming of all settings, not just firing modes, but also activation and deactivation of the active brake, precocking and battery protection is done exclusively using easily memorable sequences of switching the fire selector and pulling the trigger . This allows settings to be changed at any time in seconds, even under enemy fire.
One of the most important features of Perun V2 Optical is precocking. The quick trigger response can be a matter of winning or losing, especially in CQB situations. With precocking enabled, the piston will remain in the rear position after each shot with the spring already compressed, ensuring the next shot is fired immediately after pulling the trigger. The microcontroller uses data from the optical sensor to calculate the current position and speed of the sector gear. With this information, after releasing the trigger, the intelligent algorithms are able to transfer only enough power to the engine to make the piston stop in the correct position, or in high ROF configurations, to allow the inertia of the engine to push back the piston and stop it using right active break. This saves battery and reduces engine wear. Precocking works in semi, burst and fully automatic modes.
Perun V2 Optical has an active brake which allows you to stop the engine after each shot. In case of double shooting problems in replicas with a high rate of fire, the active brake will be an effective solution if you do not want to use precocking. It can also prevent the mainspring from compressing for a longer time if you will fire a shot with AB before storing a replica for a longer time. The active brake can be activated or deactivated at any time within seconds.
Battery protection mode is dedicated to Li-Po batteries. If the battery voltage drops to a dangerously low level, the user will be alerted by short beeps that repeat every 30 seconds. This can also be turned on and off freely.
Double shot mode allows for easy double shots in semi-automatic setting. After enabling this mode, if semi-automatic fire is set, the shots will be fired not only when the trigger is pulled, but also when it is released.
The integral part of Perun V2 Optical is a ready-to-install low resistance wiring harness based on Muldental silicone wires, prized by airsoft technology and widely considered the best for airsoft electric guns. Perun V2 Optical is available with both front and rear cable.
Thanks to the use of exceptionally efficient and powerful MOSFETs, the device can be used in replicas with any mainspring. The maximum rate of fire is 50 RPS.
Perun V2 has been successfully tested in gearboxes from the following manufacturers: G&P, G&G, Classic Army, KWA, Ultimate, A&K, PJ, JG and Specna Arms. Changes made by ICS, E&L, Cyma and Krytac may require some elements to be sanded. This refers to shifters in the Tokyo Marui standard, Perun V2 will not work with non-Tokyo standard Marui shifters such as ARES EFCS. Perun V2 fits the stretched V2 shifters used in SR25 replicas.
Perun V2 works well with DSG and short stroke configurations, because the optical sensors are not subject to the mechanical stress seen in those high ROF configurations and the loop detection algorithm is very resilient. Our tests have shown that in some DSG setups precocking can be less reliable and should be disabled. However, the ROF provided by DSG uses rather useless precocking.
