Narrow cross section of the handguard provides excellent ergonomic grip and features plate side surfaces for better shooting stability outside supported positions. It gets its name for the extremely rigid yet very simple rifle mounting system design. The "Wedge Lock" system consists of two wedge-shaped shelves,
both at complementary angles that push against each other simply by tightening a screw, thus creating tension between the handguard and the barrel nut. The Wedge Lock provides a very rigid support between the guide and the receiver which also guarantees superior accuracy of the aiming accessories such as lasers even from supported positions.
