The replica was made in collaboration with the American brand EMG Arms and bears trademarks under license from Daniel Defense® - an American firearms manufacturer that since 2002 has specialized in the supply of various AR15 variants and accessories, also on special orders from USSOCOM.
The body, slide, including the enlarged SF-type flask that houses the battery, and pistol grip are made of nylon fiber-reinforced polymer plastic. Other components such as the barrel, forend, flash suppressor, enlarged charging handle and tactical suspension assembly are made of metal (all screws, pins, case ejection port and dummy lock are made of steel).
The replica is very well assembled and the user will not notice any play between the upper and lower body. The use of a lightweight plastic body has allowed to reduce the weight, which makes it perfect for dynamic games or prolonged milslims. With a basic initial discharge rate of ~380 fps guaranteed by the pre-installed spring, the replica is perfectly suited for medium range operations. An m90 type spring is also included that allows the initial velocity to be reduced to ~310 fps, making the replica perfectly suited for short range or indoor operations.
The gearbox houses the 8mm slide bearings and supported steel gears. The system is secured by four anti-return pawls. The lightweight polycarbonate piston features a steel rod for added strength. It also uses a type 0 cylinder and steel stop, as well as a precision rotating hop-up chamber. The strength of the components allows it to work with m140 springs.
