The RAVEN R9-4 is an all-metal replica, RAVEN used an aluminum alloy for all metal parts and a high-impact polymer for the grip plates. Slide & Frame's finest details have been refined via CNC cutting methods and then an electrostatically applied paint provides a flat, durable finish.
The 6.03mm narrow bore internal barrel combined with the adjustable hop unit helps you “seat” the R9-4 making it more than capable of hitting targets accurately during the pistol's typical engagement distances. Target acquisition is facilitated by the mounting of shielded green fiber sights, which are of great help in low light conditions. This replica "walks and talks" like a real firearm with all fire controls functioning as normal except for using our beloved 6mm plastic round caliber. The fire selector provides a "Safe" and "Semi-fire" option, with the action of moving the R9-4 into "Safe" takedown mode (when cocked) and disengaging the trigger. The trigger itself is a combined double/single action trigger. All this combined means you have the option to load your first BB from the magazine (so there's one in the chamber) and then you can disarm the R9-4 by returning it to "Safe". From here, your first shot will be a long “double action” trigger pull, where the first half of the motion will pull the hammer before firing. The act of firing forces the slide back to re-engage the hammer for the next shot, meaning the trigger now acts as "single action" with a much lighter trigger pull than on the first shot. The takedown levers, slide safety, and magazine release all work effectively and smoothly.
Featuring a 3-slot 20mm frame rail, the R9-4 is ready to accept accessories such as pistol lasers and flashlights, giving you the tactical advantage in CQB engagements. You will find a wide selection of holsters available for the “R9” platform and there is also a lanyard loop at the base of the handle for an even more secure hold. The outer barrel has a 14mm CCW thread suitable for suppressor/tracer accessories.
