Tournament armor that belonged to Count Ulrich IX Lord of Matsch (1435-1481), captain general of Tyrol and made by the Negroli of Milan. Today preserved at Churburg Castle in South Tyrol. Armor composed of large pelvis for open field, with visor angled in the center and protruding at the height of the eye slit, neck guard plate with ornamental rivets. Chest with cuff strap and washer fastened with needles to the part of the hauberk that covers the shoulder. The chest has a very sunken neckline and oblique underarms. Panziera fastened to the chest with an insurance strap. Back with slightly shaped back. Shaped, symmetrical side panels, fastened to the brim blades to protect the upper part of the thighs; forked. Full armbands with asymmetrical man-at-arms shoulder pads, with the right having a hollowed front wing while both are doubled by buffe in place of the guard. Cubitera and cubit guard to defend the elbow. Mitten grips, i.e. with only protection for the four fingers and dummy from the wrist up. Leg strap structured in a cannon complete with two hinged and buckled plates to protect the thigh. Knee with articulated slats and fin. Cropped greave to protect the leg from the knee to the instep where the knitted shoe that covers a leather shoe is fixed.
Handmade in iron, it is completely wearable and comes with a rectangular wooden base. The armor can be equipped with either a sword or a halberd (included in the price).
