HORSE BLAIL 1 BALL 14TH CENTURY MIDDLE AGES (27/1.01)

Horse Flail. Articulated bludgeoning weapon with high impact power, in use mainly in Central Europe between the 12th and 15th centuries. Used in close range combat to strike when it was no longer possible to use the spear or sword. Handle in national hard fiber wood, with threaded leather grip. A fringed leather cap closes the upper end of the handle, where a metal chain connected to an iron ball bristling with conical jugs is also fixed. The pommel is equipped with a burnished metal chain to secure the weapon to the wrist during combat.
