MIDDLE AGES SPANISH BROADFORD (S/G2.01)

Greatsword with Spanish hilt characterized by branched hilt arms curved towards the blade like a floral corolla. Double-edged blade with rhomboidal section, very wide under the hilt, suddenly narrowing towards the tip; engraved for half its length. The front is in cast brass-plated metal, with a tapered handle and two-lobed knob. Its use was mainly ceremonial.
